    Okay so here's the crack:

My PC seems to completely lock up when accessing files on my network, or doing a speedtest. Just completely freeze, music stops playing; the lot.
I can play games for hours, stress tests are no problem either.
I've tried running Windows Memory Diagnostic on full, doing 4 passes and didn't find anything.
Moved from 7 RC1 to a full RTM version which still didn't fix anything.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers.

I should also add this is via Ethernet to a router, plus I can download from the Internet at 6MB/s without any problems.

Do you have the latest wireless card drivers? How about motherboard? and BIOS? What is the Ethernet card processor you use (Broadcom, Nvidia, Intel, etc..)

Have you overclocked your computer in anyway?

This is via Ethernet. So I have my wireless card disabled. Atheros is the chipset, on a Asus P5K motherboard. I did try getting the lastest drivers..

But an odd thing happened, I can now upload without it crashing immediately, seems to happen after a short period of time. :s

    Ugh.. ASUS motherboard...
Did you try the troubleshooting, steps that I suggested? Did it help?
If not contact ASUS for tech support. You may need to RMA your board, and hopefully get a working refurbished one.
