Wii / Wii U Does the Wii have any good games?

I have a Wii, not playing it much atm due to lack of time but I have a stack of games to catch up on. If you haven't played the first two Metroids for the Gamecube (I bought the GC versions for my Wii) you can get the re-released triple pack with motion control, totally worth it.

Also, House of the Dead is a lotta fun, pick up n blast away for a hour or so. Wario's always worth a look in.

Can't believe no-ones mentioned Madworld yet, insane genius fun with a chainsaw

Oh get the GC version of Mario Cart as well, four player funtimes

I can recommend the star wars clone wars game, mad world, and any good on rails shooter like house of the dead.

 

We sold ours too (it technically belonged to the missus), but it suffers from the same problem as the Gamecube - barely any games. Mariokart & Wii sports tennis..that's about it.

 

Super smash bros is really sweet. Also mariokart, super mario galaxy, and drinking games! Any of those mini-game compilations like rayman 2 are perfect for pregaming!

edit: and +1 for Eternal Darkness (GC). play this. now. seriously.

 

mario kart, house of the dead, re4 , plus the wii control is perfect for first person shooters like medal of honor heros 2, metroid prime and my favorite game of the moment the conduit

 

COD4 is out on wii next week (first modern warfare, not the second) that'll be good!

 

Yeah. I agree on this one. One of the best Star Wars console games.
The are other good fighting games on the Wii like Bleach, and the upcoming Kamen Rider Dragon Knight The Video Game and Kamen Rider Climax Heroes W.
And don't forget Metroid Prime!

Your about a year too late. We gave the thing away as it just sat on the shelf gathering dust.

 

I bought a Wii on release and over the years I've picked up Trauma, Wario, Tiger Woods, Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy, House of the Dead and Boom Blox.

The only game I ever switch on my Wii to play anymore is House of the Dead as it's awesome to play with mates as a drinking game (shoot a civvie=drink, die=drink, get the lowest points in a round=drink).

 

I think there are quite a few Wiis gathering dust. Mine certainly is.

If you haven't played Mario Galaxy, I strongly recommend it as it's superb. The last games I have played on my Wii were GC games - Resident Evil, Metroid Prime 1 & 2 and Eternal Darkness.

I heard that Okami is good if you like Zelda.

Games cost too much. I cant afford to spend £30+ a time for every game so im reduced to buying 2nd hand, on offer and buying games I really really want. Too many 10min niche games for the wii too. Top that off with living costs I didnt have to pay as a kid and a GF =(

As a result im looking to buy as many GC games to justify my wii purchace just a pity its the BC feature that makes the wii worthwhile, not its revolutionary control method
