Well it's almost christmas time and I'm looking for a groovy present for mon petit frere. After getting him a tasty gaming keyboard for his birthday I thought it would be best to compliment it with a nice mouse! I'm not looking for anything flashy at all, just a good beefy gaming mouse that will perform well under the most extreme of desk movements. Must be corded. He plays a **** load of gMod as well, so something with maybe one or two programmable buttons if such a thing exists would be groovy too. Budget wise, £30-40 would be about perfect! I can stretch it a bit if needs be Thanks in advance! Regards, Jack
Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I'm leaning towards the G5 because everyone seems to cheesecake it up, but I'm going to wait till Wednesday to decide fo' sure.
I had the Logitech mx510 and then 'upgraded' to the G5. I didn't like it, the texture felt dry and funny on my hands and the buttons were not as smooth to press as the mx510, I ended up buying a mx518 instead which i find a lot more comfortable to use personally.
Used to have a G5 but now I have the Roccat KONE I <3 it, and my friend who usually uses razer mice, tried it once, now he wants one. Looks like razer but feels like logitech. From £45 but soo worth it.
razor diamond back really really nice mouse very comfortable and sensitive and has on the fly sensitivity
Another vote for Logitech G5's here, I own two, both are epic. It's a bit down to personal preference though. Is he a hands on mouser, or more of a fingertip mouser? The G5 doesn't seem to be liked by fingertippers as much as something like the Razors, might be worth trying to work out.
Razer Deathadder in Blue. Used it for 6 months and never looked back. Right within your budget too. CPC did a review on gaming mice in their latest addition, and I think it came 1st? Although I haven't got the mag at hand to confirm that. I'm sure someone will shoot me down if i'm wrong.
Another +1 for the Deathadder, I've had mine for a year and a half and tis truly brilliant. You might also want to consider a nice mouse mat as well as they can improve the feel of the mouse quite a bit; the Razer mouse mats are quite good (I have the mantis speed )
