    Hi @ all

in the last days we started to work on a new scratch build case. It will be build in several stages, so we didn´t choose a real name up to now.

But before we start the log... i want to send out a big Thank you to Aquatuning, OCZ & Coolermaster for their support for this project!!!

We already started in the last days and up to now we have a big staple of plexi pieces which we will use in the project.

The first thing we made was the mainboard tray (mini itx), after that we started to cut out a lot of small pieces for the side panels.

The next step was to prepare a sheet of 5mm thick carbon with an engraving, that part will later be used as a part of a ssd mounting bracket.......and today we made the first colored parts for the inside of the case.....but here are the first pics....the rest will follow in the next days/weeks....

subbed - looking forwards to this :D

are you actually building this into a backpack? that would be really cool and maybe an idea for my next project if you're not doing it :D

today we made the next part....for the 2 60mm Fans...just a mounting bracket which will be placed in the side behind a grill....

as next we tried out in which combination we´re going to build the grill (distances between the plexi pieces)....i think we will make something like this

in the last days we put a lot of time into the front and backplates for the system, the black parts are already done...the white part is in progress atm....as soon as its done we will start the top and bottom part.....

Beside that, a nice package from Aquatuning / Phobia arrives with a lot of stuff we will use in our next projects, so Thanks a lot Aquatuning & Phobia!!!

    time for another small update

today we arranged and glued the first ribs on one of the red plexi pieces....
to keep the same distance between all parts we made a comb which helps us to find the correct position for each part....

today i have another small update:

1st....we choose a name for the complete project it will be "Fast Forward".....and because this is the 1st part of the project it will be just module 1...

Beside that we prepared a sheet of plexi for the top and bottom of this case, we also glued the both backplates together and drilled a small hole through both so that we can screw the power connector into it....

i think tomorrow we´re going to assemble a lot more parts so that the progress gets more visible

like promised, i have some new pics for you....today we glued together a lot of single parts so that you can see the progress....atm the front is complete loose, i think tomorrow we´re going to glue the last points to get rid of of the bubbles and then we can attach the front to the rest....

    thanks!!

in the last days we spent the most time for preparing the next plexi parts....We made 6 ribs which we will use as casefeets in the time the case will stand alone...they´re already glued to the bottom of the case ....beside that we made a plexi piece which will be used to mount the 2 60 mm Fans in the Side...

but enough of the words...here are some new pics....

The combination of the carbon plate and the red acrylic is very good.

    thanx a lot!!

in the last days we spent the most time for small details.....and to correct a little mistake in our planning ....first we wanted to integrate 2 usb ports into the front...but we forget to plan enough space in the back for them....so we would get in conflict with the motherboard and the atx power plug .....so we decided to leave the front usb away (its not really needed)..therefore we made 2 small plexi pieces which fit inside the prepared holes for the ports....

beside that we made a little nameplate which will be placed on the top of the case....and beside that....we are sleeving the last cables ....:D

    thx m8!!

in the last days we decided to make a powerbutton by ourself, so we spent a lot of time for trial & error until we figured out how to make the single parts in an easy way (and correct enough so that they would fit into each other)....so after a lot of broken parts we finally got 3 parts which are nearly perfect so that we could use them to put them into the front of the case....today we will correct the shape of the clear plexiglas so that everything can be mounted and then there is only a normal powerswitch missing for a working powerbutton

today we spent the most of our time with cutting out a lot plexi parts for the Hydra Project, but beside that we managed to finish the front of this Project (Part), after that we attached the front to the rest of the case....the next step will be the soldering a few LEDs and cable management....
