Yeah those links aren't working >.<

Looks like a good system I wouldn't say it was mid-range, I would say it were high end, easily play any game atm

As for the motherboard and RAM the ones you have picked are all from good brands, so for me it would come down to price, unless I was trying to match the design to a special build or something, I would love a 965 Phenom :D Im still stuck on a stock Q6600 atm -.-

An i5 750 and P55 mboard would cost the same as the AMD gear and are much better (particularly when overclocked). I personally can't see any good reason to buy a 965 instead unless you have some strange personal preference for AMD and poorer performance.

Go with the GD70 and the OCZ AMD BE ram - best combo around. The MSI board has excellent support and practically weekly bios updates (bios is extremely mature now). OCZ really makes a killer kit for the AMD platform, Tony and his staff use the GD70 as one of their binning tools for the kits.

The Hard drive is good, cant go wrong with a spinpoint :thumb:

And definitely go AMD ;) I have used i7 machines a lot (I own 1 and have built 3 others) and my AMD 955BE setup @ 3.8ghz is snappier on the desktop and better for gaming :thumb: It runs lightroom and photoshop like a champ as well.

That looks like a solid build. How much does that lot cost you? The next thing for better performance would be a second HDD, preferably an SSD, but also a second, dedicated F3 would make editing faster. Another thing would be 8 gigs of ram... Though that's still a bit OTT.
