anyone got any reconmendations for some some good thermal paste (don't think the stuff supplied with my titan fenrir will be any good)
Arctic Cooling MX3, best on the market at the moment (according to temps). I personally use MX-2 because it's only a fiver per pack The Bit-tech favourite is Arctic Cooling Silver 5 (or AS5) because it's cheap(ish) as well as being good performance
I wouldn't dismiss the supplied stuff out of hand; the stuff that came with mine (admittedly a rather pricey cooler) is excellent. Otherwise AS5's good stuff.
AS5, MX-3 and OCZ Freeze. I'd class these as the best performing TIM's based on experience, there really is only a negligible temp difference between them. Personal preference for AS5 as I've used it for a couple of years now. However, if you want the ultimate and don't mind paying a bit more... Cool Labs Liquid Pro IC7 Diamond Paste Both will apparently knock about 5 degrees off AS5 under load, but supposed to be an arse to apply.
I agree IC7 Diamond Paste is well worth it. Liquid Pro, on the other hand, is the most awful thing ever devised by human hands, and should only be used at gunpoint
I used the IC7 Diamond paste on my i7 it's really thick I used a hair dryer on the tube first made it a lot easier to use , Its a bit expensive but you dont use much and it work's well .
the titan TIM (royal grease for some reason) isnt bad. i went from that to MX3 and gained maybe 2-3 degrees.
