Cheaper at online stores. I use Steam a lot but when I can get a significant saving by pre-ordering I usually go that way.
Just arrived in the post this morning, so far, I love it. Just got up to the bit where Spoiler Joker is introduced again and you get the new Normandy I actually quite like the end of mission screens, not only gives a rundown of what happened but also reminds you what loot and stuff you found.
I just finished the first planet and there are some awesome moments. The ME1 import character is cool and you choices from ME1 really do affect ME2.

god damn. it's not on my isp's steam mirror. gonna have to go to my friend's place and download it there. aussie internet sucks so bad.
Managed to play a small amount yesterday, but I'm busy this whole weekend! Damn, I want to sink some more hours into this... loving it so far It did annoy me however that both Game and Gamestation had the price listed at £26.99 on their websites, yet when I went in store it was priced at £34.99. Shame they're run by the same people now, there used to be some half decent high street competition there Ahh well, Tesco got my money that day instead!
Just finished up the game, managed to keep all the team mates alive too. The only problem is now I don't want to go back and play as a Renegade because its too soon. As for the differences... from the little I've played with an imported character versus a new character it is alot different! Nothing really game changing so far but you get to choose who the Councilor is, and you can make references to people you met in the first game. For example Fist was in Afterlife in my imported game.
this game is so BADASS! really don't mind the end of mission screens - they do remove a certain element of RPGness and continuity but they aren't the end of the world, or universe in this case!
And so will Synay. Let me reiterate the point here people - Post spoilers without spoiler tags and we will end you (for a bit).
It's just completely unacceptable for a game that's highly reliant on its story and the effect of emotional impact. There is a spoiler tag for a reason, but just common sense will tell you NOT to post critical story elements. Blatantly being an ass and posting spoilers equates to multi-day ban, depending on how revealing your post is Please use [ spoiler ] tag.
Was anyone else disappointed by how short the game was, and by the low amount of side missions? On second thought I guess I spent about the same amount of time on both games... it just seemed shorter.
