To diagnose that my car needs: a new alternator and alternator brackets, suspension bushes on the front, suspension bushes for the rear, and has an oil leak coming from the hardest to change seal on the whole car.

My recent purchases on tuesday will be significantly more as thats when the cars going back to get everything sorted.

I got mine from ebay, it looks like a fairly well made all maple neck. Won't know till it gets here though!

Was only £50 including postage, so it could be pretty hit n miss, all I know is that I'm not shelling out £300 on a"vintage" neck!

Yep its a shame, but after driving for a few years and looking at how much I have improved and thinking how silly some of my friends were. You can really see why it costs so much.

Just out of interest, did you happen to find out the difference between having pass plus and not having it in terms of insurance quotes? I know that they can make some difference but after a year they make pretty much no difference at all. I guess they are good for giving you the experience to not crash, so will eventually make a difference to your quotes down the line.

 

I think a lot of the pass plus thing is just proof for an insurer that you've done more than one of those 5-day intensive courses in good weather. It says you've done motorways, dark, possibly rain and snow too, all with the company of a proper driving instructor.

When I think how much experience I got learning over winter, usually in the dark, I'm glad I did it that way than on a sunny afternoon. I did snow, ice, rain, sleet, howling winds, fog. The whole nine yards.
