have to say, I've been following this one from the beginning and haven't seen anything other than awesome work. very inspiring. you're building something that I have only dreamed about for years.

if you're going to stick with standard monitors over a projector/curved monitor I'd say get 3x 24" and run them on one of the new ATI 5xxx series cards, enable eyefinity and you have multi-monitor gaming in any game.

you're a very lucky person to have access to those kind of tools and I'm pleased to see you're producing such great work with them (and your immagination of course). will be following this one to the end... and bookmarking so I can get ideas when I eventually get to making my own.:thumb:

Note: if you get the right ATI card you can get up to 6 display's off one monitor. however this is a pricey option as it has 6x display port outputs so you would either need 6x monitors with display port inputs, or 6x standard monitors + 6x active display port to DVI converters which go for roughly $100 each.

I'm pretty sure, at least at some point, Hamilton *was* the Stig. They don't give out those 'I am the Stig' t-shirts for nothing.

I know David Coulthard's been the Stig a few times this year - the Scottish music while he drove was a dead giveaway.

Looking great! Unfortunately every post seems to highlight how much better you are at making PC peripherals than Logitech. Also, I'm thinking that the empty space behind the 'stick is calling out for car-related features like cupholders and an ashtray. :D

Why is the gear stick on the wrong side? :)

BTW I can't help but think the steering wheel protrudes too much, any chance of a shot with someone sat in it?

Since 95% of the world drives with the stick on that side, you are probably the one having the stick on the "wrong" side ;)

That said, swapping it to the other side is a matter of drilling some mirror-image holes in the other support beam, so if he ever does want to it's not exactly difficult.
