A/V A200 PopcornHour Announced

Basically the same as the C200, without the size or the BD Licence.

Powerful video processor (mine will playback 80Mbs mkv :O)

At $179 it's going to be a big seller imo.

That looks pretty damn cool, although at the moment having an Xbox is cheaper.

 

I have an xbox, wouldn't dream of using it for HD video. For a start it won't play mkv. For a second it sounds let a Harrier Jet

I have a C200 and A100 in the bedroom, great boxes, C200 needs some work on firmware, but it's getting there.

 

I was keeping an eye on these, however since the Western Digital WDTV Live is now here I'll probably get that instead for my £100.

Any major differences between the PH and WD that should worry me?

The processing speed is massively different, flash support, user generated applications (find the UMC 2.0 preview video)

A200 will make the WD look silly

 

Mine just arrived, I will give you a write up later tonight, or closer to the weekend depending on work.

 

Wrote something up on AVForums and completely forgot to copy it here.

I will copy later when not at work, main concensus is good, but I am a little dissapointed by the fan.
