Realy nice work your project log is like a drug. i going to be a cnc operator soon:) start the school in may.
realy like your creative side:) wish i got the same racerig when i run Gtr Evo. what sim u racing? are u going to have a pitbox?

You are right the G27 is better than the fanatec i try´d a friends fanatec it was smoth buth not the center was moving so u did not kow where the center was after a few laps around nûrburg.

I like The G25 buth aint going to upgrade it to G27 becase the G27 don´t got sek-shifter. and i can live without some shiftlights on the wheel:) hehe. so i think that the G25 is still better then The G25=) buth maybe just me

Could it be, that your friend didn't configure the wheel to go to center-position on it's own?

You can disable this in the Logitech Driver aswell.

No, I have seen reviews of the Fanatec. It's a good wheel but the G25/G27 are better.

Just spent about an hour catching up on this project. It's been a while since I've visited.

Gian, your craftsmanship is incredible. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of training do you have to be able to do this kind of stuff? Do you have some sort of mechanical engineering background?

Awesome work, bud. Keep it up. Love the CNC shots, too.

Absolutely amazing. We shouldn't expect no less from the guy who made Dark Blade, CNC God Gianluca. :D

wow that looks pretty amazing. Although it seems a bit over sensitive. Or perhaps high angles gives a sensation of speed.

    pretty cool.

It's a trick to fool the brain of the player : for short times, rotations seem like translation, as long as there are no visual clue of rotation (car accelerates /slows down)

Yep, that's actually using the Earth's gravity to simulate the accelerating/brakings G's you're supposed to feel in the car.

That looks awesome and its a very sound concept, but I cant help to think it would be SO much better enclosed or with somekind of shround?
I bet seeing your surround staying completely stationary must take away from the immersion.

    I'd still like a go though :D

From what i heard you can feel a little sick after playing in such a simulator for a while. The easy soution is to just turn off all lights and play "in the dark".
