http://kotaku.com/5478019/uk-prime-...=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+kotaku/full+(Kotaku) According to Kotaku (sorry to Bit-tech for posting to another website!) but thought this is important. Does this mean UK devs will get the tax break we've been asking for? I doubt it. Anyway, may be enough to sway my votes this election...
its specialised things like this that will help the uk stay productive as the other bigger nations start developing
Nah it's all blatant electioneering. he's just gone: "oh shiiii elections coming up and the public is angry. best pander to every group possible and quick" Theres next to no hope he'd follow through if he somehow won the election
True, but a nod towards the video gaming industry is more than Cameron has done (to the best of my knowledge)
yeah but its bs. we will get no more support than a floppy something. I ran out of metaphors earlier, ill be back later after i get some more.
Disk? Of course it's all electioneering - anything a politician says between now and the summer is said with a firm view of the election in mind. That said, it does highlight games development as something that the UK still (just) does quite well, and it's a nod in the right direction, even if it doesn't necessarily lead to tax breaks.
I'm not sure about either of them, the problem with Cameron is he seems to be a bit of a posh prat. All this 'hug a hoodie' business and that time when he got his mountain bike stolen from outside a shop. I mean he can't be responsible for a mountain bike and this is the man we want to run the country ??
I'm sorry but that is a pathetic statement! Actually I'm not sorry, you're just pathetic saying if someone gets something stolen then they can't be left in charge of something. As all have said, I can't see Brown following through on any of this. Seeing as this thread has descended into a political argument, I'm going to be the first one to say it. Gordon Brown is like Hitler and Labour are like the Nazi Party!
no suprise really considering how much money it brings in it is what we need in difficult times like these, good we have some export product to offer the world but i hate brown him and his stupid party has runied the uk for the next 30 years if not more
There, I fixed that for you so we can more clearly see why the Prime Minister is making these statements in the run-up to a general election
