It's now been a year since I have been contributing to Folding@Home as it was back in March 2009 when I first started properly! I'm pleased to say that it has been a pleasure so far and I've learned quite a lot along the way and I also think producing very nearly 40 million points in a year on my own hardware has been pretty good going! Anyway heres hoping that I have another relatively smooth folding year go by contributing to a great team for great scientific cause! Bring on the Nvidia Fermi! Cheers all, Rob. P.S FOLD ON!
Congratulations!! Quite an achevement! I too am looking forward to fermi and its hopefuly mega ppd output
Well done Coolamasta, some big jumps in ppd at certain times from the look of that chart, you could almost say thats when i added the 4*** and thats when i started to use -bigadv. Great achievement in a short time. My 1 year has only just passed too, but seems too pale in comparison, however i am pleased with progress. Great effort and keep going Never mind Folder of the Month, Folder of the Year!!
Nice resuly for a year, I though I did well with 20million. Lets hope you can keep it up. I'll have a beer tonight to celebrate for you.
Thanks a lot everyone, actually hit the 40 million last night as well I'm sure you will be taking the No.1 position very soon anyway James, you keep popping in & out of highest PPD nearly every day so when I take down one of my triple GTX260 rigs this weekend you will be taking the PPD lead Out of interest are you running mostly BigAdv stuff? Cheers all
Cheers mate, I've got a big mix of clients running at the mo: 3 x bigadv 1 x SMP Core A3 12 x Nvidia GPUs I'll try and take photos of them soon for the dedicated thread.
well done taken me 2 years to get to 30mil (my system not stable at the moment due to the Win7 RC BSOD'ing my pc due to the time 1hr log out but it crash's my pc instead of loging out)
Congrats and happy anniversary mate! I've been at it (Properly, GPU folding) for just slightly longer, a year in Ferurary. I've had a less successful time of it so far but I'll struggle on and get the farm running properly yet. I'm no quitter
