    Small Update - 19/02/10

Ok folks just a small update, i have now booked next week off work and intend to get the mod complete by mid-week to showcase at epic.three next weekend.
However i have done the front of the case tonight, what you think?

    [IMG] [IMG]
Assembled LCD displays to painted mounting bracket

    [IMG] [IMG]
Used super strong 'no more nails' double sided tape to attach bracket to top of case and mesh to front of case - boy this stuff works a treat and is easy to cut to shape :thumb:

Glued Perspex behind window in top of case, and fitted LCD bracket into top of case.

A finished front end to the case, with slot drive fitted
    [IMG]
3D CAD model of case design

Looks rather close to my design which is great

    Left to do this week
    • Cut Perspex window to size and fit to side panel
    • install components and cooling into the PC
    • Enjoy PC and LAN!

    Case Complete @ epic.three

I completed the case earlier this week but haven’t had time to take any photos of it yet.
However there are some photos of it at epic.three which is where i said the case would be first showcased!
    Please see the photos below.

    Final Update

Ok folks so after a manic week last week trying to get the case ready for epic.three i didnt get chance to upload any photos of my progress and how the case finished up.
As you can see from the above posts the case was finished in time to be shown at epic.three but to get it to that stage was very stressful.
Below please find the last few items of the project log, I would be grateful of any feedback.

    [IMG] [IMG]

Spray painted some large M4 Steel washers Black

    [IMG] [IMG]

Used the freshly painted washers to mount the Radiator to the top of the case as show above

    [IMG] [IMG]

Cut Perspex window to size and bonded into place, fitted drives and fans to front of case

    [IMG] [IMG]

Assembled front and side panels to case

    [IMG] [IMG]

Once i ran pump for a few hours and done leak test i powered on the machine

Final pic, of inside of case taken from rear fan

So that’s it, the end of the project i will be trying to get some professional photos taken of the case and if that happens i will upload them here.
I should be going to i39 with the case but i have just been made redundant so that’s looking less likely.
Big thanks to all the people who have followed the build and a even bigger thank you to all me sponsors without either of the sponsors or fans this would have never become a reality..

Looks slick. The pitchfork in front of the red fans certainly has develish flair.

    I like it!

Nice and clean, and a quality finish. I like the temperature sensors, they've given me ideas...

First of all wow for the case!

I have access to CNC machines too and I am a graduating student at Mechanical Engineering this summer. My diplome work will be on water cooling for pc. I think I know Solidworks decently - so far I designed water blocks and now I am learning flow simulation. I can simulate fans, heat from processor, gpus but can you tell me how to simulate the radiator? Should I make all the fins and make liquid flow through them or... I think if I make those 25 micron fins the solving will take ages to complete. Nowhere in the internet this information can be found. You are my only hope. It will be very much appreciated :)

I did not design a radiator as i knew how much heat it would disperse (from the manufactures website) while it’s not going be 100% accurate it was more the enough for me to prove my designs and save me time having to design and develop a rad then having to simulate it.
    Hope that helps?
Try checking a manufactures website for the tech specs on the rad you wish to use.
