Its been a while since my last update. I have very busy and waiting for parts is slowing me down a bit (but doing a little overclocking in the meantime ). I have to give a big thank you to Fedtech for cutting the side window and fan holes. Here some shots of it in the water jet. Ill get more pictures up on Monday when I get my camera back. Thanks again to Fedtech for their help!
pin-striping is very old school and i love it! Wait for john to give his opinon, he'll dig it! change the black for a darker shade of red, i loved the silver aswell
Aluminum FRENZY! I finally got a chance to take some pictures of the progress. Since the last update I picked up a 1" x 6" x 24" chunk of aluminum that will become the spacers for the Lian-Li casters as well as the top fan cover. I found this extruded aluminum box to use as the control box. I also mocked up two 22mm vandal switches with a spare piece of acrylic until I get the control box done. I had them sleeved in red as the fans were all sleeved in white to see which I like better. I think i like the white better. The red looks better in the pictures than it does in real life. I also got the TRUE 120 Black mocked up with the MNPCTECH mesh and it looks sick! I can't wait to see it in white . I mocked up the side panel to get an idea of what it will end up looking like and I am very happy so far. It is no wider than the standard A380 but with the duct on the top as well as the bottom it makes it look HUGE! Thanks for looking!
I am a nominee for the Mod of the Month! Thanks to bit-tech, MNPCTECH, FadTech and everyone thats checked out the mod so far! All the mods are fantastic and its going to be a tough one this month. Now go vote!
Very nice work you have done. I like the clean and simple aesthetics of the outside - it's eye-catching and minimalistic at the same time.
First of all, I apologize for the lack of progress lately. Work has kept me plenty busy as well as my girlfriend coming home for spring break and our 4 year anniversary. I have made some progress in small amounts but nothing photo worthy. I need some modding help. I am trying to work out how to control a group of 3 fans using 1x3pin connector. I want to arrange the fan groups (3x bottom, 3x top, 2x CPU and 1 rear) I have found 3pin Y adapters for 2x fans but not three. Is it possible (without damaging anything) to use two Y adapters to control 3 fans? Or is there a better way? I found the AeroCool V12XT Touch fan controller and I think it matches the theme of the case, but it only has 4x 3-pin connectors. Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! BTW: I hope to get some CNC done this week, I will be heading to StompFest LAN the 10th-11th. Will be my first LAN an I would like to have a presentable case by then. (won't be 100% finished but something that looks respectable.)
Some seriously awesome work and equally awesome renders. I dunno if you said before but are you using Kerkythea? I am a big fan of the red and white colour combo but the candy red with the flat black looks good also. I can't wait to see more of this .
