Despite the occassional "wtf" moments and issues that I hope get changed, it really is a total blast. Can't remember the last time I played a game for 10 hours straight like last Saturday with BC2 But no, when you accept a request it adds you to the requestee's list and adds the requestee to yours. Pretty painless process.
I couldn't play it for more than 20minutes without getting mad so far. I just can't believe how ridiculously useless the sound is. I just can't hear anything around and therefore get knifed about 20times per game. It's totally ridiculous and no, you can't blame this on me. I did play CS, I did play CoD2/4 and I do play UT and I can hear everything in all those games. Granted, the sound in CS is not realistic at all, but at least it does offer the player the possibility to defend himself. I tried playing with my speakers and with my headphones and the result is the same. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the game however as it may be possible that somehow 3D sound is still activated and this would be why I can't hear behind me ... also the guns don't do **** for some reason. Yesterday I was uber pissed because I couldn't kill anyone no matter what I did. Then I saw an afk player about 10meters (30') away and thought I would test something. I tried to shoot him, one bullet at a time, and it took 13 shots to kill him. Only 3 registered wtf ?
Just ordered this game, does it sign in using EA account? Or Steam account? Or an account specifically for BFBC2? Cheers
If it's the same as the beta, then it's just an EA account from what I remember. Friends etc. are also integrated into the game rather than Steam.
Apparently "big" is a nono word. It will not let me create a soldier named "bigkingfun". LargeKingFun here...
Have you tried the Headphone setting in the sound options?, it removes some of the guff\reverb and separates the sound a bit more.

my own footsteps are very audible, which is useless (although necessary, this isn't the middle ages after all). I still can't hear people walk and I can't tell where I'm being shot from even if the guy is within a few meters of me
brinn - we are running a 32 slot Rush server at DA-UK, we would run a mixed conquest/rush server if it was possible.
Friends are ballsing up for me. Yesterday had two mates on there, tried adding another mate but didn't work. Today I only have the mate I added yesterday on the list.
Might be worth giving it a little longer to get used to the game, everyone I know who has it has said how dissorientating it is to start with. After playing it for a while i've got no problems with working out where shots are coming from, but stand still too long and you will get stabbed in the back(it's my favouvite thing to do to people).
