Other Help removing Primawega virus

    ok so i use AVG anti virus and Xp firewall i have had this XP install for a year now and never had problams untill yesterday when using firefox i keep getting redirected to other web site, its really annoying when watching utube vids and even when browsing this forum aswell.

    So can anyone recommend some free/trial software that might help thanks.

    malwarebytes is great
    also microsoft sercurity essentials has been good so far

    I run AVG free and malwarebytes and havent had any problems for a few years now

    if you have a barclays bank account you get a 3 user license of kaspersky internet security for free

    Hey thanks for the replys i still have the virus and its called primawega and i have useed microsoft essentials and malabytes but both have failed to fix it but i still might keep one of them anyway

    But does anyone know any free software that could remove this annoying virus im going to try some others that you have recommended thanks

    Just make sure you dont spend any money. YOu can get some fantastic free Anti Virus ones. Check out Antivir, always served me well

    Yeah i saw that link the other day and i cannot find it in my programs and also checked my computer with a search for primawega but no luck thanks anyway.

    So this virus is getting annoying now the other night i had a girl over was playing some music on my computer and then a pop up came up of some woman in a bikini and the girl was like have you been looking at porn or somthing, i just loled and walk off to pick up some wine from the shop, thnakfuly by the time i got back the joke was forgotten lol :thumb:

    So i have tryed all these so far with no luck

    AVG free
    Microsoft Security Essentials
    STOPzilla
    avira antivir personal
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
