Game sounds like it didn't really need any DRM protection :)

Very few games so richly deserve a two out of ten. This game falls so far short of Silent Hunter 3, let alone 4, that it's just an embarrassment.

Tell me about it, I was actually going to spend actual money on this game. Oh well, back to SH4 it is.

Thats a miss from me too.

Ubi can poke this pile of crap where the sun don't shine.

Even if it was good I wouldn't buy it because I would wnat to play it on my laptop on the move. DRM = FAIL.

That review reads like when the reviewer got out of bed this morning on the wrong side he stepped on a landmine.

    Excellent.

Have you considered changing the ratings logos? So that, as this game got a score of 2, instead of a green background on the logo it could have a red one? Just a thought.

Nice review otherwise, you would've thought such a niche game would actually have what the players wanted, rather than messing it up relative to the prequels.

The low number of sales will be blamed on piracy....

Ditto, although I'll go back to SH3. I have no real interest in the pacific theatre, so 4 was a bit of a damp squib to me (although the pocket battleship mods are freaking winbeans).

dout the drm is that invasive. Steam you gotta be always connected in some reguards even the play offline mode doesnt work for all games.

This game is a poor one and not due to drm. Easist way to counter piracy in the uk is to make games bigger than 1dvd. Very few people will download 12-16gb for a game at 100kb/second

More to the point anything will be blamed on piracy

low number of sales - blamed on piracy
medium number of sales - blamed on piracy
huge number of sales - blamed on piracy (would have been more without!)

    :sigh:

You have to give Ubisoft credit, they actually created a working anti-piracy system, between the DRM and the gameplay, no one will bother.

Suprised they even bothered with DRM, no ones gonna bother pirating this floater. All they've done is inconvienced the few people who will buy it.

I can't believe it - I've built a Core I7 gaming rig recently and was really looking forward to this release for the graphics - will stick to v3 and v4 from what everyone is saying - will wait for the next Medal of Honour instead!

A "2", Really? Wow! Is the game really "that" bad, or is the reviewer just "that" mad at Ubisoft and took his frustrations out on the game? Why Ubisoft continues to force it's products onto the PC is beyond me, as it seems they are literally at war with the PC side of the hobby. Thus making them targets of relentless attacks on their systems and games. This is a shame, I've never seen this before. Whoever is running that joint over there needs his head examined. Just eat whatever crow M$, Sony and Nintendo are feeding you, and keep your games on the consoles as this type of **** just cannot possibly be worth it.
