ive not had that yet, what i do is polish mine with pledge, it reduces friction and helps make it last longer
I'll put in another voice for the razer destructor. If the pads on the mouse are properly clean I can give my mouse a little shove and watch it glide a bit across the pad. It's a stiff mat with lovely surface, it doesn't tend to move on my desk either since the underside seems clingy enough. It also comes with a special carry container which no doubt adds to the price and then sits behind the sofa since it's never used.
Still have a razer mantis speed matt 3 years+ still a gd mat. Though any of the new razer mats are good.
