Razer Diamondback over here aswell, jacked up as fast as it'll go. Good mouse, don't see if failing on me anytime soon
^this for me too. Favourite feature for me is that it looks like Zax from Benji, Zax & the Alien Prince when you see the light shine through it.
Currently a Sidewinder X8 after my MX518s RMB started working up. It's much better than the prev. Sidewinder mice but the DPI switches are much less accessible. MS Habu back at home.
Cheers for the lovely replies Just ordered a Razer Deathadder + Razer mouse mat (along with a Asus soundcard too - thanks bit-tech)
Logitech MX 3200 Love this combo and wireless makes life a lot easier! Battery life is astounding: I've had it for two and a bit years and have only had to replace the keyboard batteries once; the mouse batteries around 5 times.
How long have you had your Ikari? I use an Ikari Laser, and it's started to double, triple, and even quadruple-click when I press the left mouse button. Mine's been under heavy use for about a year, and I really wasn't expecting it to go bad so quickly. The G500 looks like a great mouse, but the thumb buttons look extremely inconvenient compared to the traditional front and back buttons - they're all so small, and I feel like if I tried to press the front or back button I'd mash on the middle one by accident.
i prefer the G9 to the G5 it is more comftable and definetly worth the extra cost loads of people say that the G9 looks unfomtable but it is so comftable
I've had mine for a year and 8 months. Have you RMA'ed it? Try emailing Steelseries support - I do remember them getting bad batches of the Ikaris that had problems like yours, so they might help you out.
Razer Diamondback. I absolutely hate it. It's too flat and small. I'm only using it because it the only mouse that I had lying around after my G5 died. G5's are a bit to pricey for me to afford a replacement right now.
I have a Razor Deathadder and before that had a Microsoft Habu. I love both of them but the deathadder is much better
Logitech G9, heaviest weights in and the hard plastic finger tip cover as opposed to the palm cover. Love the mouse, very comfortable just wish the dpi sensitivity buttons were in a slightly more convenient place. As it stands u just have to curl up your index finger to reach them but it just doesn't feel natural
I've got a saitek cyborg, it's ok but very uncomfortable to hold and the programmable buttons and in weird places, but until i can afford a g9 or similar i'm stuck with it
Has anyone seen Saitek's new R.A.T line of mice? I know it says MadCatz, but it's Saitek.. I can't find it on the main Saitek site which showed a complete overview of the features etc. but it looks very interesting. Initial impressions make it look uncomfortable, but the same could be said about the G9. They seem to have taken the customisability from their Cyborg (Evo) series of joysticks.
I just bought a MX518 because i had one years ago but it broke. only since bfbc2 had been released i decided i needed one. I also bought a Roccat Taito which is a lovely mouse mat ! I really don't like razorz
