helps a bit when don't know where the sniper is coming from, scope into that general direction, and hope gets picked up by this. i really don't get magnum ammo, apart from a few single fire guns or slow firing guns (M14, M60 LMG) it really doesn't help that much, with assault rifle and SMG's, the single bullet difference is not as important. edit: just played a defensive match on CPC server with only 5 or 6 on each team, as you know, defensive with 100 tickets and so few players is hard. hardcore mode made it way too easy! M14 + magnum = 2 shot kill at any range, accurate enough to snipe with this. CarlG = insta squad killer. bolt-rifle sniper rifles became insta-gib weapons, and pistols became primary weapon that allowed me to fight an entire squad by spraying. match ended with me earning nearly 8000 points excluding pins. although lucky had planty of medic support.
To those who are new to the game, you will learn nearly all guns are similar and the starting ones can be just as good or better than the last unlocks. You'll learn this quickly because unlocking stuff comes very quickly, you only need to play a few games and you're away. It is annoying medics don't start with medic equipment though. I quite often forget to pick my weapon and end up using default, it's not an issue really.

They like taking money but not spending it....that about sums it up. Not as bad as the Northern Strike debacle, where you paid £6 for it to download as you liked. Then EA decided that they needed a few more gold plated toothpicks and so added a charge AFTER you paid for it if you ever dared to download it more than once, say after a format or on a new PC. just had a couple great games on CPC server. loving the welcome message and "xxx ended yyy's killstreak of n" messages. it seems the server automatically issues auto-balancing message when there is less than 1 player compared to the other team, by that logic, it will keep trying to balance the game. surely it should be a difference of 2 players. is it possible to implement a warning message such as no vehicle stealing from attacking team's base or no base spawn killing at attacker's base? one of the game had a squad of people killing us in spawn, and then stole our tank. kind of reverse the role of attackers and defenders.
