Ok, what do you guys think of this build?, I'm gonna be gaming at maximum resolution of 1440x900 and the most intensive game would probably be Battlefield: Bad Company 2

    >Case: Antec Three Hundred - £43 - Link
    >Motherboard: MSI 770 C45 - £49 - Link
    >CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2GHz Black Edition - £130 - Link
    >Cooler: Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro v2 - £16 - Link
    >RAM: Corsair XMS3 Classic 4GB 1333MHz - £102 - Link
    >Graphics Card: XFX HD5770 1GB - £127 - Link
    >PSU: Silverstone Strider 500W 80+ - £44 - Link

    Total- £515 (budget of £500)

I will probably try my hand at overclocking the CPU a bit, maybe to 3.5GHz or 3.6GHz. The graphics card I probably won't touch. So any suggestions to change this setup in any way?

EDIT: The Hard drive and DVD drive I have from a previous computer so I won't need them

Certainly a good budget set up, I wouldn't change a thing! Good choice of GPU as well, get a game thrown in for free!

The link you gave me is to the amd 955 (the one I chose for the same price) and not the amd 965

EDIT: Hi, I had a look around and I found the one you told me, thats a good offer :), thanks for that mate :)

EDIT again: Now i see the problem, when you add it to the basket it somehow turns into the 955, is this a glitch? or is the offer over? how to rectify?

Hmm that is odd, i've just realised it myself. The scan website has been acting odd, with stuff on there that shouldn't have been. From working in a shop, i think they have to give you the price that you see, so if you maybe rang them up you might be able to get it at the lower price? You can but try. They've taken it down, as when you click info it says it has been taken down, it was working over the weekend looks like you might've just missed it sorry :( if you go to www.aria.co.uk they're selling it for 140 and give you £10 premium bonds or something. If you look under super specials.
