No, it's because people know that nothing will be done so they don't say anything any more.

I'm liking what I see so far. Takes a bit of getting used to, but after a while you'll find it's better to use than the old UI which was horrible.

    People naturally just hate change.

Hey, it's not there! *thoroughly miffed* :miffed:

    GTAIV for 30euros...woohoo
    Episodes from Liberty City 30euros.

    They're cheaper on disk :waah:

As Linux is an unsupported operating system for Steam, it doesn't surprise me one bit that it's slower.

What!? A new interface? I haven't even gotten used to the new one yet ... joking of course, but I am a bit behind the times. Gotta check it out though, see ya!

I disagree. I think that people are initially resistant to any change in UI, mainly because they aren't used to it. Eventually, people will like it better, and get angry all over again when they update the UI again down the road. Same thing happens every single time they update facebook.

I don't like how slow it is..This really is the only issue I have with it. I know I will get use to the rest but the slowness of it is annoying as hell. I refuse to wait one tenth of a second every time I open it. The fade in/out is just bad

    imo

seems fine, but then it seemed fine before. I just hope no time has been lost on hl ep3 to do this.

hell a small part of me says i hope no time has been lost on the development of cs(s)2

they have to do another one some day.... right

The games/library tab will take a bit of getting used to, all together I think the changes are good though. Seems to be alot more responsive in all scenarios.

there's no way the people who work on games work on Steam. It's just two different worlds.

As for EP3, it's going to come before another CS, that's for sure, which means you will have to wait another long ass time before you get a new CS haha. Oh and don't expect the new (if ever there is one) CS to be similar to 1.6 and CSS... They can't afford to release such a bland game. They will most likely try to do something bigger, meaner à la CoD6/BC2

not that I agree, but they will

    (all speculation)

Oh, good, i can still pick my download server manually. That's a relief, the beta didn't seem to have that.

I think it looks great, the old steam looked very windows xp. When your used to vista or 7 it just looked ugly. Even fraps got a facelift. The new look games library looks smart.

looks fantastic. love the new non-intrusive chatting sound.

but game lists, grid and list seems pretty useless, detailed view is awesome though.

Alright, I had to delete a .blob file and restart Steam for some reason. Real intuitive.

Awesome new UI and it banishes any form of IE from my computer, a reason to celebrate!!!

(I find the dour, sour puss Brit comments humorous, one of the reason I come to bit-tech)
