Graphics Upgrading My Graphics Card

    Your PSU is definitely up to the job then. lol

    Can you try the graphics card in a different PC?

    Not of my own, and I do not know anyone whom would have a PC for me to borrow. There is a local PC repair shop near my house, I could ask them to test it for me.

    Can I ask why you have an absurdly over-powered PSU for a 9800GT?

    Got the system 2nd hand. Previous owner designed it for more powerfull cards, but sold it to me minus card, so I bought the 9800 as it was all I could afford at the time.

    make sure its plugged in correctly

    you 100% dont need a new bios

    then check the connections for the pci e leads

    Return Material Authorization - is used to return items to suppliers/manufacturers when defects are suspected.

    The supplier/manufacturer tests the item and either

    returns it to the user if tested as serviceable (and bills them for the privelege) or
    replaces the item if a suitable replacement is available or
    offers a credit note for an alternative item
