    Hi,

I am getting rather annoyed with my computer as it just randomly crashes whilst i am playing EVE. The problem i think is the gpu as i have changed the MB, RAM, and CPU and it is still happening. What happens is that the computer will hang and i have to switch it off and back on again. I use to get the BSOD but i dont anymore, which is not any use as i could not see the BSOD as it was all distorted. Sometime the computer will carry on whilst the screen hangs but only for a couple of seconds. I am thinking of getting the new 480gtx but i want to get this to work before i go spending £500 on a new gpu. Can anyone help me.

    specs are

    CPU: Intel Core i7 930 2.8G s1366
    Memory: Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600
    MotherBoard: GBYTE GA-X58A UD3R MOBO
    GPU: 1GB EVGA 9800GX2
    PowerSupply: Thermal Power 1500watt
    SSD: 2x 128GB Crucial M225
SoundCard: RAZER BARRACUDA SOUND CARD 7.1
    Drives: LG GGW-H20L RETAIL (BLUR+HD)
Operating System: Windows 7 ultimate 64bit

    Cheers.

the BSOD should give you an error msg, which helps get you pointed in the direct direction usually.

    That's the card crashing.
Check your temps, it's either overheating or the RAM is dying.

The temps are fine as its watercooled and i am constantly checking them. They dont go above 37c. As for the RAM i have just rebuilt the computer with new RAM,CPU,MB. and its still happening. :wallbash:

I meant the ram on the gfx card.

Try running furmark on it to see if it crashes as well.
