I have a 785 motherboard in my media pc thats primarily a blu ray player but i also use to run emulator software for some classic Snes and megadrive fun.

Although the chipset seems to manage the blu ray comfortably i do wonder if a dedicated graphics card would be better for overall performance. I'm not trying to play anything hefty like crysis but it would be nice to run Source based games.

Is a 5450 gonna cut the mustard?

Methinks the 5450 isn't going to run even the Source games... That said, I never even tried to play with the 5450 I have. Overall it's hardly an upgrade from the integrated 785.

I actually might try that.. I already have an ATI card in the rig and steam installed, so I could just slap that in and give it a try. Just too bad you're on the wrong forums ;o Nah kidding, I'll try that if I have time. So much work to do, so little time and motivation, sigh.
