A few bottles of Yorkshire Square Ale would be ideal for me in the warm weather. Or a nice bottle of wine if we were eating. Nothing too pretentious or extravagent, just something to enjoy with some good food. Shame I stopped drinking a few years ago though, and only partake at special occassions nowadays (few and far between). It's when the weather is hot that I miss the bottle of beer after work to chill out with. Orange juice never has seemed to hit the same spot.
Damn you all for making me want to go drink fruity cocktails in the sun... alcoholic: Cold Corona + lime / Tequila / JD 'n' Coke non-alcoholic: ... there are drinks without alcohol in them!??
I think last weekend it had to be a Pimms job which i did indeed enjoy. Otherwise i'd have to go for a Ginger ale
A properly made Bacardi Mojito, a Corona with lime or simply a bottle of ice cold Stella. I drink Guinness as well, but those are my three popular hot weather drinks. I'm also partial to a JD or Black Bush on the rocks
Definitely agree with this Never had Desperados before, but planning to this weekend, is it anything like Sol? Mojito for me as well, other than that i love a cold SoCo & Coke.
Desperados is so nice. No matter the weather! I first had this when on holiday in france a few years back and it was perfect slowly drinking (not always tho) in beer garden looking onto the beach. Its a strong beer tho so be warned and i'd recommend not to drink too many! Has a limey taste already, but i always ask for a slice of lime. You will enjoy it.
Mixed fruits or pear, all sweet but i could drink it, and have done, till it gives me a good sleep ;D
Just cannot beat a cold pint of Bulmers(Magners) on a hot day" Reminds me of drinking at the Students' Union bar at uni as an undergrad during the summer months. For a non-alcoholic beverage I like making an iced coffee of sorts by mixing ice, freshly-made coffee and ice cream in a pint glass. Guilty pleasure.
Yeah, they're both really sweet but I find the pear just right where as the mixed fruits just that little too sweet. Love the stuff What do people think of the Elderflower and Lime variant?
+ 1 rep I make sure i have my fridge stocked with the stuff at all times : ) Its getting bloody pricy though, i remeber when i used to by it for £1.20 a bottle : (
