CPU cant even get into bios =/

    i've recently bought a biostar 890 gxe and a phenom 2 555 be
    Wanted to unlock the extra two cores.i understand i have to get into the bios to unlock it.but to my amazement,i cant even get into the bios!my computer just skips past the screen that lets me get into the bios and run windows straight =/ anybody knows of any ways to unlock the two extra cores in windows mode or is there any way to force myself into the bios?thanks for any help =)

    Does the manual not say how to access the BIOS? It's available on the Biostar website if you don't have a copy to hand.

    start pressing delete as soon as you turn on the pc. Most motherboards at standard settings have a fullscreen picture which hides most of the post info.

    generally only 3 options.

    F1, F2 or Del but ive seem boards use F10 as well not many though

    You have to be quite quick, as mentioned above, hammer DEL as soon as you power on.
    Occasionally I've seen my POST screen not display as the monitor takes time to turn back on since it half goes to sleep after a restart. May be the same for you.

    If I have the same problem, should I use a pin hammer or would a claw be more effective?

    Neither, it should be a sledge to get the correct weight behind the hit. :)

    I've seen a couple of obscure boards use F12.
