    I see the above going for around £60 now, is it worth upgrading a C2D E6600 to one of these? I'm probably going to change the rig to an i7 in a couple of weeks/months and I was wondering if in the interim the gains would be worth it.

    You will pretty much double your ppd, but I'd save your money for the big upgrade in a few months as i7s are great for folding/gaming/everything.

    +1 for what Lizard has said. Save your cash for the big boy and a quality MB to give a good overclock, if you spec decent RAM with them.

    I'm still not sure if 930 is worth the price difference to 920 when both clock relatively the same? SCAN do some nice 920 combos at the moment.

    Already got a spare asus P7P55D PRO which is 1156 and 2x2gb 1600 ram kit so I will probably go for the i7 860/875k.
