If you don't mind me asking (and I would love an answer from everyone) how much does laser/CNC cutting usually run?

If you mean how much it costs it depends from a million reasons, the guy on the factory explained me but it was all messed up. Its had to do with the quantity, how thick , soft, hard the material is,(hard material - more time - more money etc) and many other reasons. If you send a dxf file (auto cad) with the drawings and the material you want to cut they will calculate the time and materials needed and they will tell you a price. Usually is like 160-200 dollars per hour. CNC is cheaper though but is totally different than laser. Costs less and works mostly with acrylic and wood or soft materials.

How much stuff can get cut in one hour? I would consider doing it if I could give them one huge sheet of aluminum and just get all my individual pieces from that. CNC is basically a gigantic router right?

I'll just have to call around to a few places after I move north.

If you consider that buying a good case worths like 300 dollars and more, then its not expensive,
because I payed less and my case will be bigger, wider and... nicer!!!

It really worth it, if you have the patience and passion and some knowledge you can make your own case and you are going to pay less.

I knew nothing about corel draw, I learned everything by myself and.. voila! I am building my own
    case which I really love! ! ! :)

Polishing stainless can be done, it just takes a long time to get everything sanded down. The sandpaper will wear out faster too.

You should know my routine by now. Start with 150 grit, and work your way down to 600. A chrome polish should be able to handle the rest. Make sure the sanding strokes run in the same direction.
They also make felt disc buffing kits that fit into a drill. They usually come with coarse, medium, fine, and polish compound and a disc for each. If you're going to be buffing a lot of stuff, you might want to look into that option.

-Like what I'm seeing so far.:D

Isn't La carotte d l'o the godfather regarding polishing steel with his epic Windrider thread? He probably knows everything you need.
Looking forward to another shiny beauty.

Cheaps my friend, thanks for all the info, I ve watched some videos and also studied some websites about that matter and indeed this is the way! My problem though is the interior designs and their edges of the fangrills. I found some dremel bits that probably are made for that purpose but I am not sure if its going to work. I will start working on the back side of the switch housing thingie to see how that works and let you know in the progress! Thanks Cheaps, its not your fault though   :thumb:

OMG I forgot about that! He is my friend but I completely forgot about him :wallbash:
    Thanks buddy! :D

Someone steeped up the fabrication techniques. Gone are the dremel cut holes and the recycled hardware.
    Angel has evolved! :p
    Nice work dude!
