Update 8
Some spray painting​

It have been a while since last update, much because I had no spray paint and a little bit because of school. But today, I've got a new can of delicious, matte, white paint, and I decided to spray a new layer on my DVD-burner. Earlier, I've painted and sanded down some layers on the burner, until I ran out of paint. Today, I painted a new layer and I think that I will paint the last layer of white paint tomorrow. Then, maybe on friday, I'll spray it with clear coating.

Here is a few pics from the last weeks painting.


The clips that will hold the DVD-burner. I've painted the metal pieces white, but I'm not satisfied with the upper one, so maybe I'll repaint it.


The lower cover (it rhymes ) of the DVD-burner. For some strange reason, it have got a water droplet in the middle (it didn't rain when I painted), but I think I'll just ignore it. Wouldn't be visible.


The upper cover of the burner. A ****ing bug decided to land on it (hate to spay paint outside) when I painted, so now it's a part of my burner. Maybe I will sand it down, but neither this part will be visible.

i made my drive black, ( i still have to paint the actual drive back with the sata connectors )

and those lil bugs sound famliar... i had a tiny spider in my case when i had it outside, and then i put a clear coat on parts that dried the other day outside i basicly spray against the web so it becomes visible.. damn things XD

anyway back ontopic, looks good and i really enjoy watching your progress, been a while since the last update, but it's all coming together isn't it keep up the good work mate

Update 9
Burner almost done!​

The painting of the DVD-burner is now done, and I'm satisfied with he result. It could been better, but I've done my best, and the few "defects" with the painting will be invisible. Tomorrow, I think I'll make a front panel to the burner out of a panel from the case.

Update 10
Painting the keyboard​

This is not a very big update, but, today I decided to paint my Logitech K300 -keyboard, to match my project. Will paint one more layer before clear-coating, but I think the result will be nice.

great minds think alike, i was also thinking about oding something with my keyboard.
( i think white leds instead of the orange- Logitech G15)

Nice project. Not as big or time-consuming as some of the others but I think this is starting to look smashing.

Update 11
Keyboard is finished​

Hello guys! The keyboard is finally painted and assembled. It's working well, and the result is satisfying. Few errors on the coating since I painted outside (much dust and **** blowing around in the summer), but I think the result was satisfying at all.

In addition to the painting, I've also ordered some stuff so I can finish the project before I shall go in the Navy in the end of July. This stuff is some extension-cables for the PSU (easier to sleeve than the PSU), sleeving tools, case feets and edge trim.

But enough talk now, here is the pics of the keyboard:
