See now, you're wrong about these 3. Firstly, it was NFS Porsche Unleashed. It wasn't about the difference between leasing cars and buying them, it was about letting them off the leash. However, I never played it because NFS:Underground was my first taste of these games.

Secondly, Most Wanted was excellent. It was pure gameplay from start to finish. 100% good, 0% carbon. Then they made NFS Carbon Copy which showed just how not to do a racing game.

Finally NFS Shift isn't broken. I've got it sitting next to me and it works perfectly.

Most Wanted seems like the pre-cursor to Burnout Paradise to me. It was awesome at the time, but overshadowed now.

no, it was called Porsche 2000 in europe. dont make me scan the box.

most wanted was a step down form ug2 regarding tinkering and handling, it was also too "black" for my tastes with me turning off about 90% of its soundtrack and skipping every cutscene, chasing was mildly fun but infuriating.

shift is broken because it was a sim built by ex sim-bin employees and headed by Suzy Wallace (PCZ petrol head legend) the engine is superb both visualy and audiably, it was ruined when EA execs stuck thier noses in and said "well kids like collecting things so tack on badges, oh and dont forget to break the menu system) steering wheel support is also hidious with petrol heads screaming and tearing away at its configs just to get the G25 to work with it properly. last i checked they had almost sorted it but by then i had given up.

    shame really.

    still this look amusing.

Great list, buddy. I agree completely with it but I would say NFS2 was on par with NFSU2 and that both were brilliant

Indeed, certainly looks like it. I want one, if only for the badass factor, and the fact it looks like an F-22 Raptor.

Yes I'll second that, its a Reventon (WOW!). Trailer looks really good. I've watched a few demo's aswell. It's good that the racer has a few "weapons" this time round' like the jammer which makes you disappear off the radar for a short time. Loving that NFS is going old skool, but I still think they should remake NFS2SE - unless there is a pure racing mode without cops which I doubt.
