I've just overclocked my 8800GT's in an attempt to make sure each card is pushing more than 5k PPD, and I was just wondering if 80 degrees celcius is OK for a full load 8800GT?

I have two of these running, a 256mb and a 512mb, the 256 runs cooler at no higher than 70 but the 512 version runs in the high 80's, just make sure you have rivatuner or similar to crank the fan speed up.
FYI my 512 fan is far noisier that the 256, like a banshee at 100% :wallbash:

Stupidly, I didn't save Rivatuner settings, so the fans were on "auto". They're now on direct control and the temps have dropped way under 70, so all is fine now.

I'll keep it in mind mate, thank you. For now I'll leave Rivatuner running as it's working fine, but I'll try out your option in my next rig. Cheers.
