I'm sure it could be used to display other information :p

I'd love one of these... Imagine the photoshop customisation potential (and it costs a LOT less than the Optimus Maximus)

Any more than £50 ona keyboard is too much though :(

I think that it's going to be cheap that the Optimus Maximus, but that isn't saying much considering that the Optimus Maximus was $1000

In a couple years this might become standard

Actually, the Maximus currently retails at $2400 according to their website, so this is a fair amount cheaper :p

Another sweet render from Optimus, years away from production. The Optimus Maximus was a great idea, but reviewers said it was a terrible keyboard from a keyboarding perspective. Frankly, I'm not expecting much from this - just another overpriced tech demo of a "keyboard".

    Fair enough, I stand corrected

The cheapest I've seen it around here is £1,200 :p

Pointless, and probably just as crap as the last one.

The original maximus concept that had full key screens looked awesome, then it got cut to same size small screens and it lost all its appeal imo.

I just dont see the point in them tbh, for a lot less than that i could have a proper keyboard, and a small usb touchscreen to display anything i wanted, and save ~£800

    Quite a lot actually! :D

Love these designs, its always down to the price though. Exclusive items have to command an exclusive price point.

Just wait till Apple make one and claim they have re-invented the keyboard... for £200.
