Just for everyone who missed yesterdays Today Only on Scan, they have it again on Today Only at the crazy price of £170!
Thankfully I can avoid beating my head against a wall. Just noticed you can only order 1 per buyer so I havent lost out that much
Can't say I own one but I did a build for a mate and he got a Gainward 1GB 460 GS GLH. The card looked great and the cooler was nice and quiet. Had a chance to fire up BF:BC2 on it before he took it home and I must say it performed really well. He's since OC'ed it and is a well happy gamer now.
Fantastic card, cannot hear it + overclocks great, batman AA with physx at 60fps, crysis 4aa all high 40-50+fps, mafia 2 + physx same, need to crank up my cpu it's still not oc'ed being it be summer
Buddy of mine ordered 2 of these babies over the weekend. I'll be helping build his new system this weekend with them included. Sounds like a fun experience according to the reports in this thread!
Is the gigabyte 460 the best flavour of this card then? http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/1GB-...z-Shader-Clock-1430MHz-336-Cores-DL-DVI-mHDMI
Just plugged my 2x Gigabytes in. I'm shocked and overjoyed. No word of a lie. I had to put my finger into the fan to see if it was actually working it was so quiet. It's going at quite a pace too, you don't want to leave your finger in there long. 10/10 Now time for some overclocking
its a shame there hasnt been a group test, or review comparing the different versions of the GTX 460 yet. Im close to buying one tonight, but would love some in depth evidence proving that the Gigabyte one is the better option
There has been a mini group test when they first came out including the Gigabyte. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2010/07/12/nvidia-geforce-gtx-460-graphics-card-review/1
But theres no direct comparison between the different GTX 460s. Even the Enthusiast Overclocker build that recommends the card does not mention which model of 460 it uses, although the pictures show a Zotac one.
