Is the plus WS for being the defender then?

 

Yes, WS for defender is GREAT because of the auto +1 - you can defend against twice as many ships basically, which, considering the fact our industries are low still is worth taking into account.

You need to get places FIRST which means Engine tech Cheesecake.

 

Hmm that said, unless Baggy increases his WS in the next six hours he'll lose 16 ships attacking my seven if that calculator is correct.

Q: Is it better to have ships in a carrier stationary on the star, or transferred to the star itself?

 

Doesn't really matter though if you station them at the planet and move off your carrier you loose mobility equally if a huge force overwhelms you you only loose the ships not the (at this stage) expensive carrier.

How are you guys at war already? I'm not sure there has been a single shot fired in our game.

 

Ysul' mullering me actually. He's taken 5 stars and killed 3 or 4 fleets. Seems WS does make a difference.

 

That's a bit of an exaggeration, I've taken 3 stars and destroyed 2 fleets and both of them were tiny anyway.
