5l of oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs and HT leads for the car. Also ordered a pair of axle stands, a torque wrench and a powerflex bush for a dicky engine mount.

Getting prepped for a roadtrip down to Monza. :D

An N-type female chassis mount connector with pre-soldered wire and bolts, an N-type male to rp-sma male adaptor and a mini tripod, nearly forgot that!

Need to find an appropriate tin can now.

2 new tyres before the police realise the old ones had less tread than ice skates.
(For our overseas friends, the UK fines you up to 1000 pounds per tyre for this.)

How do you deal with sharpening? I have wanted a decent knife for ages but so worried about wrecking the blade trying to sharpen it. I'm thinking it's better to practice on the rubbish ones I have first.

Nice choice. I was going for this exact model but then changed my mind and ended up with a 27" iMac i3 instead. :)

I haven't had either knife long enough for them to need sharpening. I've had some experience with swords and kitchen knives, so I think I can handle these if they ever need sharpening.

I use a Spyderco Sharpmaker on most of my blades, but for the ones that it won't do, I have a set of "manual" sharpening steels and a large flat stone for touching them up in the same way as Murray does in this video:

(He straight shaves with that blade in a later video ;))

Ooh nice choice too. I've currently got a 24" iMac but I desperately need a portable really so the iMac's gotta go unfortunately!

Will be adding a faster larger HDD and also an SSD as the boot volume :D

Optical drives eh, who needs em? Not me :)

You using official Mac parts for that? I've heard very unpleasant stories about people who just throw in 'normal' parts; lacking Mac firmware they never live up to anything like their performance potential. It's what's holding me back from replacing my current Mac SSD with something a touch faster. Have you read up on it plenty?

Really? I've read up a LOT and I haven't really come across any general issues whatsoever. The general consensus I've seen is that you plump for a quality drive, such as a Vertex 2 or an X-25M, you will see the benefit.

    Here's a nice thread regarding some Vertex 2 bench speeds in a 15" i7.

    Seems pretty good!
