Good review. But I'm going to give it a huge no-no for the fingerprint plastic rear end. To me it always looks tacky, feels slippery and after use also looks disgusting.

My MX510 still rocks. So does the MX518 at work.
No need for fancy 11-button mice.

I still just prefer a Deathadder, personally.

Looks a bit too much button overkill for me - i've used a Logitech G9 for a while now and i love the size/shape and weight of it.

I'll probably pick this up after the numerous issues with my Deathadder, thanks.

Sounds like a nice alternative to some of the macro-heavy gaming mice that have come out over the last couple of years, especially considering its price. Not sure if I'm in the market for a new mouse yet (my G5 is going strong even after a few years now), but this would definitely go on my "to investigate" list.

Good to see someone else still using a G5, mines getting a little tired now though but I still love it.

G5 is the only wireless mouse worth considering IMHO. Used my last one to destruction.

The G5 isn't a wireless mouse. The G7 is the wireless version of the G5

Why not review the RAT 7, RAT 5, etc... nobody has done a solid review on those and they are looking pretty good

I'm not sure why we've not looked at the RAT 5 or 7 yet.

I saw one in the flesh for the first time at i40 on Friday and spoke to the chap using it about what he thought of it.

I've got it admit its piqued my interest, I'll give Clive a poke on Tuesday and see if we can bag a review sample.

I've always wanted a RAT, but by the looks of it I'd be stuck with my Death Adder 1st Gen...
