I've been in the closed beta for around a month now...

I certainly haven't played it as much as I should, to be honest.

Am i the only one who thinks this could be an instant LAN classic if they make the option available?

I've been playing this now for a bit, still the only thing that bugs me is I haven't found out for sure whether to lead shots or not... I know with artillery you need to, but I haven't worked it out with normal tanks. not helped by it being basically impossible to see fall of shots in sniper mode :(

Yes you need to lead your shots at all times.

Use autoaim for a while to give you an idea how it works - it's tricky stuff though.

I've been running around with my P4 and making wrecks using nothing but autoaim. :D Found the lag to be annoying for leading...

Anyone else noticed this article is linked directly from the WoT launcher? Pretty sweet. :D

Definitely, I'd also advise using manual aim most of the time too, as the auto-aim will always centre on the target, which is usually where the armour is thickest (and often highly sloped too).

Has anyone else had trouble with this?

I downloaded the full installer and the update to the latest version. Update, no problem. The installer, however, hung my browser for an inordinate amount of time, then when it finally let it go, I went to the folder I download everything I get off the internet (E:\Downloads), and whenever I double-click the folder name, it won't show the file or any other file in there. Other folders work fine.

Sounds like a file system error rather than something that WoT has specifically caused. Can you open the directory in a command prompt and browse to see what's in there?

It just seems strange that I've downloaded the full install 3 times now and each time, the issue only occurs in the folder I download that file to (the 1.15GB installer). I even tried downloading it to a brand new folder in the root of my E:\ drive.

I can see it absolutely fine when I open a command prompt there and list the files/folders.

Very weird - all I can say is I haven't experienced this issue.

I'm running a HDD health check utility direct from Western Digital right now, just incase it's a warning sign.

It's very strange indeed. I've never come across it. I'll try running the setup file from the command prompt. If it works, I'll just delete the installer and be done with it after, as it only seems to be that file.

Such a great game. Too many bitchy people though, been noticing that people complain even more about games they don't even have to pay for. 8^ ?

I have been playing a similar game for ages now,T-34 vs Tiger. Very realistic, and great fun. Watching the turret of a Tiger get airborne is brilliant.

    Looking forward to this one.
