Server rebooted?

 

It seems we have a total server crash on our hands. I've tried two different clients, and both give timed out messages.

 

I think we'll have to.

It's not that I don't trust you to not do any mischief, but I feel that passwords for VNCs is not something that should be thrown about lightly. So as Stickeh has entrusted me with the details for his server, I feel it is prudent that I do not pass this information on without Stickeh's approval.

However, there are more admins that should possess the same information. Where is Matt?

You guys seem to know what you are doing, some advice please

In my single player map I have reached the bedrock so am expanding outwards down a tunnel. Unfortunately I seem to run into lava all. the. time (lava wells, huge ones). To plug them I am filling the top row entirely with cobblestone, getting rid of that, filling the next row, filling that etc. until its all gone. Is this the only way to do it? :s

 

You can dump some water in there which will produce obsidian and cobblestone in it's place automatically but be careful, obsidian is a **** to get rid of.

 

Pretty much yeah. You could throw buckets of water at it for a similiar effect. In the future use the regular minecraft thread for singleplayer discussion.

We need a new cartograph! Also, please reboot the server matt/stickeh!

 

hope putting a map in the game is high on notch's to-do list. I hate walking around for ages thinking I'm in the middle of nowhere and coming across someone's structure! (and also, reboot the server pls )

 

Use the cartograph from page 1 as a rough guide, although it's become obsolete since it was made to an extent. Also, using the boat to get to the farthest reaches of the map will help you find empty land.
