Hi everyone. I have already started this worklog on another forum (but I haven't finished it) and I want to continue it here, too. (Some work is already done) Project Name - "SteamTurbine". Style - "SteamPunk". Platform; Some old case Material; wood, copper, brass and others ... Mod will include Water Cooling and many hadmade parts... : D It will look like this: Or that; Old case ; "I will be back" (soon). PS. My English does not allow me to communicate online, Sorry. (I will try)
Hi again! This air cleaner future reservoir... (Aluminium will not have contact with water) ~location of parts; Cut... Painting; This is my first project! Until next time.
Continuation: have made a new place for the fan and a new hard drive fixer The first painting was unsuccessful, so i had to paint it again; (Now with a primer) Much better...
Now about the PCU water block and radiator box... That was done without a milling machine First cover was broken. Have made a new one ...
Another brass/copper waterblock : http://abraxxa.zorro.at/gallery/main.php/d/1140-2/005+Zern+PQ+Plus.jpg Damn restrictive
Now, the dial indicator will demonstrate the work of hard drive as steampunk can't go without indicators. Hawe made a new dial; This copper / brass I did not like, and later there will be a new one. Another 27mm indicator; This fiber was fixed with epoxy glue.. Then the base was soldered to a gear. Until the next post.
Holy steam punked cow, this mod is really nice. I like the uniqueness of the pieces used this is modding, not just plexi cutting like some people Keep up the great work
It's looking great so far. I really like the dial. You did some pretty steady hacksaw work on the water block. You will want to watch the top carefully. I broke a waterblock top using tapered tap fittings and teflon tape too. Sometimes it takes months for the stress to show. I would skip the tape and use glue sealant instead.
