I re-play the old games that I love so often that I don't actually feel a whole lot of nostalgia from most of them any more. When I do get nostalgia it's usually from the first few areas of the game, the ones I played as a newbie and the ones from my childhood when each individual game was played to death because I could only get one or two per year at most. FF VIII is more nostalgic to me than VII, probably because I played VIII first; but I like both equally. Deus Ex still gives me a strong feeling of nostalgia despite being one of the games I've played and re-played the most. Every time I play the Liberty Island map feels like one of the countless times I played the demo off a PCZone cover CD, and I still get as much fun out of figuring out new ways to complete that level as I did back then, only nowadays I get to enjoy the rest of the masterpiece. System Shock 2 is similarly nostalgic for me in the Med/Sci deck of the Von Braun, with the audio logs, Polito's voice and the little tasks to get through to the next area. Quake is hugely nostalgic for me - Everything from the awesome NIN soundtrack to the weapons, environments and overall atmosphere. I coveted Quake so badly back when it came out and I still get that childish sense of excitement over a new toy when I load it up. Diablo takes me back like that too, the music from the town still gives me shivers and brings me back to the Pentium era, as it's one of the first games I tried out on my shiny new P200 MMX back in 1997.
That was a great game! I'll say: EverQuest System Shock (the first one was the big shocker for me) Eye of the Beholder 2 Frontier Elite 2 Space Quest 4 Jones in the Fast Lane Police Quest Leisure Suit Larry Dune
I haven't played half these games but my nostalgia comes out for: BBC Micro Revs Elite PC Harpoon Black Hawk Down MadROM (multi-user dungeon)
Games for me: Spyro YotD Gta 2 Sim City 3K Despite my PC being so slow i coudn't go above 30K pop with out grinding to a halt) Frontier Civilization Harvest Moon Back to Nature (Me and my sister spent an incredible amount of time on this as a kid)

1943: The Battle of Midway - I got RSI for the first time playing this on the Spectrum. Video is for NES, IIR the ZX version only had 1 and 2P options from the main menu, but the title music was the same. Otherwise; Manic Miner, Atic Atac, Jet Set Willy, Tomahawk, Chucky Egg - PC, Captain Comic, Commander Keen et al.
My favorite/most nostalgic is Final Fantasy "II" (actually IV) on the SNES. My parent's friends had a SNES with a few games, one of which was FFIV, and they let me play it to keep entertained as the adults talked. Once I got my own PS1, VII was kinda "meh" since VIII was far better in my opinion. Aside from the FF games, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was another game I loved playing on that SNES. When it came out on GBA I was quite pleased. On PC there are a few as well. SimCity 2000 at school since it was deemed educational, that was fun. Diablo II which my parents didn't like me playing because it was so bloody. And of course, Lego Island. Don't hate, the Brickster will always be the greatest villian in any game.
Probably my ultimate is the original bards tale, played it on my 128k +2 so much the tape broke had to buy a +3 just for the ease of disk change. PC games wise interstate 76, wacky wheels and tie - fighter as well as stone prophet and heretic Xbox I would deffo give baldurs gate dark alliance a vote (I want more games like this!!! It was easily the best two player game I have played with my wife although we enjoyed heretic on pc back in the day
