Mine came UPS with a packing slip and I got a separate invoice (marked paid) via postal mail the next day. All very pro. RAM Z, I'll go update the first post in the technical thread.
I too got that invoice. I also discovered in my pile of mail a tiny UPS sticker that says more or less a package was delivered but I wasn't home so they'll try again monday. Was he shipping from Texas? That's where the InfoNotice tracking # said it came from.
Wire it to exactly Linear's diagram and you will have it... .make sure you have solid connections on everything... Oh Yeah, and 9.3 makes my Winamp throw a fit when it starts, but then it runs right.
Glad to hear everyone is having some luck now. v0.9.3 is an Alpha version, that's why it isn't on the main site for download, but it's the only version that has the 800 series driver implemented, in all the others it is incomplete. If you want a good skin and config that I put together a while ago (before I got my VFD ), download this and extract it to your lcdskins directory, under winamp/plugins. Then go into the LiquidMP3 config, press load config from file, and load vfd.liq from the directory you extracted to.
I installed mine, I googled for the support files and got over that hump (did you guys have to go and hunt down the Borland runtime files?), but Winamp doesn't see the plugin. I get the errors, and click through them, but no plugin in the list. Maybe my Winamp is too old? I have 2.78, WinXP pro. the 0.9.2 version behaved this way for me as well on Win2k. help
Actually, As long as you turn off the button support (under general plugins) with the .9.3 it goes away too... It is having problems running that because the support files are missing... But if you uninstall it from the list, it works just fine...

EBAY email notification has been in the toilet for a year or so now... same thing happened to me. I got one the 1st round tho, so not to bad.
i didnt think i was that stupid with friggin electronics and whatnot. but W MY DISPLAYS WORK!?!? so far they have done nothing but cost me money, and get hot when plugged in. this is really pissing me off. the money i spent on these could have gone towards something else, other than a pointless frustration.
Got me too. I always thought dutch autions went for the lowest bid that was at or above the starting point. =(
