I don't really have a favourite, but this was a good intro to the story. Also: If a youtube video link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlPkoqFGJI8 Then paste: XlPkoqFGJI8 Between YOUTUBE tags (without spaces): [ YOUTUBE ]XlPkoqFGJI8[ /YOUTUBE ]
I am not a halo fan but I still really like the trailer, Just wish they would make a film along the same lines.
I quite liked the Borderlands Zombie Island DLC Intro. The Legacy of Kain series has always been a favourite too.
Easy - I-War. This was a 600 meg video files, took a full CD up. Even the game was epic. 12 years ago, seems like yesterday. Still one of the best intros in my view. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7AsRQXOUSY
That witcher cinematic reminded me of: not sure if it's actually in the game or not, but either way, it's fecking awesome (not to mention some amazingly good CGI)
IDK, I prefered twin snakes -- obviously it hasn't aged too well though, being gamecube standard def. I know this isn't even out yet, but the trailer blew me away -- Hopefully a William Gibson novel in a game
For me it's a split between shenmue 2 or mgs3 endings Tho all the cinimatics diablo2 had still look ace and blade runner as well tho it's ending was almost a copy of the films
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYK_Gqyf48Y Not exactly a cinematic, but this was really something special. Oh and ditto on the Kerrigan cinematics in Starcraft 2.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq4Y7ztznKc And didn't mean to forget Cataclysm of course! Simply awesome.
I thought the Cataclysm cinematic was just 'okay', but a little cheesy and uninspired. I wasn't impressed by Deathwing's voice-acting or even his lines. I think the WotLK intro had a much more cinematic and poignant feeling to it with the quotes from King Terenas accompanying Arthas' actions in an ironic sort of way. I also thought the "Arthas, my Son" soundtrack to the WotLK intro was far more memorable than the music from the Cataclysm intro. Thankfully, the rest of the music in Cataclysm so far has proven to be absolutely incredible.
