    Monkey Island 2 (/giggle)
    God of War 3 (completed the game through 12 hours straight - It was epic!)

    Unfortunately I had to left Black Ops out... Although I play it competitively on ESL, it still lacks major updates to make it worthwhile but a good title and a fair contestant to the title but I'll have to use the head, not the heart.

    There are Three good games on that list? I think it sums up everything you need to know about the current state of the gaming industry when the only things available are over-hyped, mediocre trash....

    What about Metro 2033? There are games on the list that deserve much less than this game.

    And as many have said, do not need more spam in my mail, so no vote from me...

    Tough call, but Mass Effect 2 absolutely deserves a nomination. Starcraft 2, BF Bad Company 2, Amnesia The Dark Descent, Red Dead Redemption, Just Cause 2, and Civilization V are all worthy of a nomination, but I chose Amnesia to support indie developers and Starcraft 2 for its high polish and production values. I cannot understand how some commenters thought games on list weren't good...baffling.

    Mass Effect 2 is going to win, but it was a great game, so I did put in my vote for it.

    Amnesia would be my top for the year. Incredibly well crafted, not to be missed. Wish I could have given it more votes than ME2, maybe let voters chose a 1st/2nd/3rd and allocate points accordingly?

    Finally, Chime is just fun :D

    I'll have to abstain, of all the games I've played only Stalker:CoP. I plan to play Amnesia once I move to a new house, playing horror games in empty house has it's magic. But I really miss Metro 2033. I've finished it three times and I think I'll play it one more time. I just love the atmosphere of post apocalyptic corridors...

    Where is Halo reach? I cant believe thats been omitted for the likes of Just Cause 2?!

    It has possibly the best multiplayer ever seen on any console not to mention a pretty damn good single player campaign...

    I would be incredibly curious to know your reasoning behind leaving it out?!

    I just skewed your results. And, I'm certainly not the only one.
    Fallout-New Vegas is the only game I bought this year. The only game I was interested in and besides MahJong Titans and Fallout 3, the only game I've played this year.
    Yet, I have to vote for 3 games. I just chose the other 2 at random. I never heard of them and have already forgotten what they were.
    Just an example of how foolish these "Polls" really are.
    The "Game of the Year?" The one that made the most bucks, of course.
    Forget polls. Cash is the ultimate award. Cash is the ultimate praise.
    You want to thank me for something? Congratulate me for some accomplishment? Do it with cold, hard currency. AKA, the ultimate aphrodesiac.

    ME2 - Definitely the best game I've played all year.
    BFBC2 - Soooo much fun blowing stuff up!
    SC2 - Never played the original, but after this I can see why it was so good.

    There's no debate about it this year imo. There's been a lot of great games, but Mass Effect 2 is the only true GOTY contender.

    I'm not a console guy so haven't played ac brotherhood with my ding hanging out and a pack of cigs on the couch (foaming at the mouth).. but for pc mass effect 2, fallout new vegas, and out of the rest- starcraft and dead rising 2

    bioshock and stalker were ok too, stalker definitely had some good memories to it
