The C&C Generals MPtest, by Westwood Studios is out.
    That is good.

    Minimum requirements:
    2 GHz Proc Min
    512 MB Ram Min
    GeForce4 or higher
    445MB download

    That is bad.

:waah: Me can't play. Me meets only GF4 requirement. :waah:

Oh well, guess i gotta upgrade.

Sorry about the wrong forum thing. :worried:

My 1600+ runs at nearly 1.7 GHz, but it aint stable at that speed, and only 256MB of Ram. So no Generals for me. :waah:

    From generals factory :

C&C Generals will require and Pentium 3 processor, 800mhz. More is Recommended.

700-800 MB of hard drive space.

A 16MB graphics card will be required capable of running Direct 3D applications. better is recommended.

128MB of ram. more is recommended

    Microsoft compatible mouse and keyboard.

    CD-Rom 32x or better

    Direct sound compliant sound card

Multiplayer : 56k dial-up or better for an 8 player game

Dont know weather its the ssame game, but tbh 2GHZ its STUPID, only around 20% of the population has 2ghz or over, westwood would be making a stupid mistake if they produced a game with thoase min requierments, no one would hardly buy the game.

it wouldn't surprise me if they were min specs. these days companies dont seem to bother making their programs more efficient, they just bump up the specs. tis most annoying for us poor people. grrr :grr:

    I would be VERY surprised.

One. The specs they were aiming for are:
    CPU: Intel Pentium III 800Mhz
    Video: GeForce 2 or greater
    RAM: 128MB
    HDD: Unknown
    Operating System: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP

I can't see the engine suddenly taking twice as many resources to run?

Two. At those specifications they would be excluding 90% of the market. Anyone can tell you thats not a wise move...

I am speaking of the MINIMUM requirements for the mulitplayer test, not the full version.

800MHz is for the full finished product.
    2GHz is for the test.

those r the specs for the MP test, which is exactly the same thing as a leaked beta ages (no changes to it at all) the test is ful of un efficient and un-optimised code
