These, on the other hand, are very nice for instant food and not so terrible for you: The Big Soups are awesome too. Heinz single-handedly sustain me whenever I have to travel a lot.
I bought some pot noodles recently because they were on offer, working out about 40p each. I think I still paid too much for them. I ate 4 in a row once and wasn't full, so...yeah. I'm beginning to wonder what the point of them is. Also, RESURRECTION!
I have been into super noodles lately, just chuck them in the microwave with some water. Probably no better than pot noodle but I heard Beckham is addicted to them so if their good enough for him.......
They're all I lived off for the first week of uni, I became dehydrated, they didn't taste good and I'm now reluctant to 'eat' the last one in ym cupboard.
read through this, and now Im going to have to have some ramen with prawns lime chilli soy coriander and spring onion (and stock!) hrm... or maybe duck shallots ginger chilli stock broccoli or i guess I could just curl up in font of the football with super noodles.......
I have the occasional Pot Noodle.. A Beef & Tomato King Pot Noodle to be precise. Loads of salt... which is bad. As I never use salt to cook, and I usually cook from fresh stuff... I don't consider it a problem. All things in moderation and all that. If you are regularly eating these things, then you are eating way too much salt... which is very bad for you.
You can get excellent instant noodles in styrofoam bowls here. Tons of MSG awesomeness and they come with a foldy fork inside Cheaper and much tastier than Pot Noodles
Pot noodles have been the staple diet of fishermen for as long as they've been around (noodles not the fishermen) and as far as I know they haven't killed any one yet.....So I'll have a 4 pack of chicken and mushroom , thankyou very much
Something to know about all instant noodle snacks, including ramen in a pot and pot noodle: in order to make the noodles so that they are quickly reconstituted by water, they have to be deep fried.
Yeah they're cheap and nasty, but I still eat them in a single mouthful and make another straight after Cheap, nasty, edible robotic woman? .....that's what I just thought anyway.
I do hope you use the correct punctuation of NOMNOMNOMSLURRPNOMNOM*Drinks excess water with flavour at the bottom*NOMNOMNOM
I used to boil mine in spring water (filtered water will do also). Water quality seriously affects taste and texture. In Japan they level up: there is a noodle bar where they boil the noodles in spring water and then serve them to the customers by dunking them in a mountain stream which sweeps them down to the customers, Sushi-bar style, for them to pluck them out of the stream.
