Oh, those were the days.haha

Well i have a new tool, i will be updating all the cartos with it, the new map is 33mb odd if i leave the long wanderings on...It might be more worthwhile to DOWNLOAD the map to your computer, rather than hammering my server !

I hope you guys like the new style, it is more ISO / lower angled than the other cartographer

 

Hey Stick, i know you have an other tool already, but might i suggest looking into Tectonicus too? This tool renders a google-maps compatible version of the map It looks really awesome (example here) There is only one small problem. Rendering is really slow. My world (44MB size on disk) took 25 min to render. It has some sort of caching now.. so more runs could be faster

Anyway.. just a tip.. I for one would like to see this for our world very much

Holy sh*t! There is an other problem too... The renders are HUGE! My world is 994MB!!! :S nm, this is not verry possible i think....

 

Yeah i looked into that x, i can't seem to run the .jar file for some beknown reason in command line, an issue with windows 7, so i'm opting for GUI based ones for simplicity. This one i've used also renders really quickly compared to the previous cartographer, and on top produces similar sized images.
I would've loved to use something zoomable / mappable.

Also, google maps spec maps are a bit overkill for minecraft. A large png does just as well without all the rendering problems that a google map can make.

I will honestly get on mc today and a bit next week, I've just been playing with my new phone a lot and talking to a laydee if you see what I mean. Flawed priorities, I know.

Due to lag last night there are now minecarts stuck on the track in downtown. (unless someones cleaned them up already).

Umm may I ask that you leave some of the wanderings on stickeh? I kinda have a place out there and although I know you don't like us hammering your map, I was going to start a snow town. I'd hate to log in and see all my work swept away

 

he is only cutting the wanderings off of the cartography map. the actual information is still saved on the server.

i think you were right about removing the outline of cartmans eyes neal. kenny looks 100% correct without them.

 

Thanks wicked. When i saw kenny's eyes, i went and changed Cartman and it just fit perfectly.
