lol, because its a lot of money and more tubing for something that doesnt really get used that much? just a guess
meh, it would only be 50 quid on the waterblock, and if you put it on the same loop as the 5970 it wouldnt need that much more tubing. considering hes spent 2.5k+ on that rig it would make it look a bit prettier
I think its a bit pointless adding a waterblock to my 9800gt, as 90% of the time its just sat idling. Plus even when I'm running Physx enabled games. It merely uses 10% GPU usage, so it doesn't get hot enough to warrant a waterblock. Simon.
It looks tidy man.. Aside from the cables appearing from the PSU >.< You need to get them braided.. Or at least spiral wrapped!
I hate my cabling But I don't have a side window so I'm not too bothered by it at the moment. Also none of the PSU cables came braided apart from the 24-pin ATX cable, but it was very cheap (around £40 at the time) & it does the job. I'm definitely getting a modular when I need to upgrade, they seem liek a godsend compared to what I have to deal with. I guess I could have another go at cabling though, probably reroute some of it round the back but it makes it hard to put the side panel back on (it already bulges). :|
I had the same problem with my Cosmos, it didn't like cabling running round the back of the M/B tray. Spiral wrap would be an easy way of sorting the cables out.
No its a Silerstone FT02 Fortress http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_contents.php?pno=FT02&area=usa
My gaming rig - updated pics from page 2. Apache black to fit to the fenrir yet tho. I managed to find the amazing Enermax Revolution85+ 1050W PSU for an unbelievable £118.99 brand new with free delivery. Couldn't believe my luck, I had decided on the Corsair HX850W and was just checking all the options before I ordered. I've never entered card details as fast in my life when I stumbled upon this little gem. So far, no hickups to report. Performing lovely and quiet too.
Thanks mate, it took a good hour or 2 the first time around. The HAF 932 has great cable management features with plenty of room behind the motherboard tray. Although dust build up is fairly rapid in this case unfortunately (no dust filters either).
Lets bring this thread up. I just happened to take a shot today and remembered seeing such a thread, so here we go: If anyone cares, the specs are: Silverstone FT01 Silverstone Decathlon DA-700 (thereabouts) Asrock 890GX Extreme3 Phenom X6 1090T BE + Corsair H70 (tried running at 3,9 GHz, but I simply don't need the extra oomph, so at stock now) Gainward GTX470 + GT220 (for the two extra screens, no Physx nonsense here) Corsair 2*2 GB 1600 MHz (CL 9 I think) Samsung F1 1 TB + Seagate 1 TB
you guys have some nice looking rigs I'd like to take good pictures of mine post upgrade but my Desire just doesn't cut it in low light environment
Where the bloody hell did you find that! I paid £165 + for the Enermax Revolution 850 Watt PSU just over a year ago!
KD88 that's some lovely cable management you've got going on right there! Might have to have a go at sorting out the cables in mine now I've seen that as I've got an Antec 300 as well.
