    Hello everyone.

I would like to present to you all, my new project mod. The idea behind this build is to make it smooth as possible, while keeping it an high end gaming rig in a small box factor.

    Hardware:
    Chassis: Lian-Li PC-V354 Black
    Motherboard: Asus Rampage 3 Gene
    CPU: Intel i7 920 D0
    Memory: Gskill 3x2Gb kit, 1600mhz CAS9
    Video: Undecided yet
    Disk 1: Intel M-25 80Go
    Disk 2: Seagate 7200 1To
    PSU: Silverstone Strider 850W

    Cooling:
    Chassis: Probably some Enermax Magma
    CPU: Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B
Video: Undecided yet (will depend on video choice)

For this build I didn't want to modify the case, because I want to show that we can make a very good mod without it. (well I hope you like it anyways :) )

    Some photo now:

The Case (love it or hate it :p)

Asus Ramape III Gene, I really like the look of the MB :)

The PSU (it's little big for the build, but I had in stock for another project so i used it here)

    Intel M-25 80go SSD
    [IMG]

Motherboard installed on the tray, CPU and some Corsair that I had to change (explained later on)

Finished the sleeving (mdpc-x) for the Power/reset button and light
    [IMG]

Custom cable length and tools. Black and white cable, to make sure we see no color variation on the white sleeve.

24pin done too, sleeving still in progress
    [IMG]

8pin CPU sleeved, But am going to change it, not please with the finished product (shrink are too long)

Am not planning on using any of the HDD cage, so I cut up some holes for the SSD
    [IMG]

    And installed
    [IMG]

CPU cooler test fit. It hit the ram sadly. (the MB look bent, but its not actually, just a optical glitch)

You can see why I changed the corsair ram, I had to remove one of the heat think on it to fit the CPU cooler (it won't go the other way because the PSU is in the way). I just don't like to the look of it like it so I order a Gskill kit, they are red and have smaller cover, will look perfect.

Moved on the DVD drive. Dismantled and primed
    [IMG]

DVD drive all done and back together
    [IMG]

    And installed.

And a final shoot, that where am at now.

Still waiting on couple parts to arrive, in the mean time am still working on the sleeving which take awhile to do.

Please feel free to comment on anything :)

Nice! I love the minimalist Lian Lis and this is looking set to be a very attractive build.

Are you going to put any other red in to tie in with the motherboard colour scheme?

I love this case, such a shame it will only take micro atx boards, i would love to have used it to house my pc.

The mod is looking good, will definitely follow.

I DO really like your colorscheme! One of the best ever!
is that the regular red on the new special X color?
Anyway, I was thinking about purple/grand bleu for my next mod, but I also wanted to use grey sleeve, and now, after what I see... Can I borrow your colorscheme? haha =D Just kidding... but nice work! Keep going...
ps: lian li cases are my favorite too.. <3

There is something about that Mobo thats made me want to do something similar, well up until the Sandybridge came out .. but still I am keeping a eye on your build as its very tidy
Will be very interested to see what sort of temps you get eventually

Nicely presented log and tidy build

I agree, I think Asus did a perfect job with this mobo. And I already had some parts in stock from this build, that why I didn't wait for Sandybridge. beside, their are no good looking m-atx for this yet :)

    Thanks ;)

Thank you, got more on the way soon :p
